- It’s NEW! Built in 2017 and they’re still building the gorgeous grounds. If you love it as much as we did there’s the option to buy and use as an investment property OR buy just to have a fun and safe place for your family to gather.
- Accommodations: one bedroom villas, two-story town homes, and family cottages. Something for everyone.
- Not all-inclusive, but altogether cheaper than an all-inclusive. We compared our all-inclusive trip to this one and this one was cheaper.
- The Gorgeous water, especially at the private beach club. There is a boat that takes you and it’s only for resort guests. The boat runs all day back and forth when the beach club is open. It is true paradise!
- Secluded private beach club. This is great for kids because the water is ankle to knee deep so perfect for them to play and you to keep an eye on them. For adults, there are tiki umbrellas and over the water beds available to rent. The staff is amazing and the beach club offers drinks and food all day. Before we were done with a drink they were walking out into the water to bring us another! They also have a variety of games to play such as: Beach volleyball, corn hole, soccer, AND paddle boards!
- Excursions for everyone! Whether you’re into scuba diving in the Blue Hole, snorkeling the 2nd largest living reef, cave tubing, deep sea & fly-fishing (if you catch a Permit fish, you’re considered an expert angler), zip lining, a trip to see the ruins or a day-trip to Secrets Beach. There is something for all!
- The resort does have WiFi….not to worry 😉 Even at the beach club!
- Water filter in shower. This isn’t a must-have but when a place has it, it’s definitely nice to have a long day in the sun.
- Cute coffee house on site with delicious coffee. It was the first place we went every morning during our stay. A perfect way to start the day!
- Extremely Safe around the resort & there is a guard at the entrance. We flew on the puddle-jumper plane with a gentlemen who moved there as a developer and he told us he keeps his door unlocked!
- Family friendly. We met other couples and also families with children of all ages. They had great feedback both the couples and the families. The couples even said they can’t wait to bring their children back.
- Built out not up. I loved the fact that is was a village and not a tall hotel. It made it feel a little more cultural than resorts that you see in other tropical places. It was different and I liked that.
- Friendly staff! Majority speak Creole aka they have an awesome accent. So many bike to work, work so hard, and have the biggest smiles on their face.
- Public beach within walking distance. We went on a walking adventure one day and found a public beach just outside of the resort if you make a right. Totally different than the Beach Club if you want a change of scenery, It’s called “South Beach” and has a full bar and menu as well.
- It’s a Hilton Property, so you get discounts if you’re a diamond member and special discounts on breakfast. Also, everyone gets around the property via golf-cart and it’s safe to drive them into town.
- It can be as secluded or as adventurous as you make it. We enjoyed relaxing which it’s conducive to that as well as if you’re looking for a fun adventurous trip!
- Friendly guests. We met so many people while we there and we loved that!
- Delicious drinks. They give you a “Welcome Drink” when you arrive! Who doesn’t like a welcome drink…for FREE…to set the tone? It was delicious. They also have a 2 for 1 Happy-hour every night. The Beach Club also has special drinks that were delicious…and pretty! (I recommend the dragon-fruit margarita at the Beach Club)
- Entertainment provided by the resort. For example, we had a saxophonist playing out on the patio around dinner time and one night they set up a movie with popcorn to enjoy.
- Direct flights from: LA, San Diego, Miami, Houston, Dallas, Charlotte and Atlanta into Belize City with a 15 minute puddle jumper OR water taxi which takes about 2 hours. The resort is nice enough to offer help with this after booking.
And reason number 21 and the most important one in my book: Unplug, reset, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and make memories with those you love!
